Our biggest inspiration comes from nature and creative storytelling. With a huge love for storybook romances, sci-fi, and living our best lives; we love to incorporate some of the epic tropes and details, natural scenery, and artistry that make these moments come to life into the projects we take on.

OUR WEDDING PLANNER AND EVENT DESIGNER
Hey guys! Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time for you and your loved ones, and I'm excited to help you create your dream day!
Who am I?
My name is CJ Scott. I am the founder of Shine Bright Weddings, and I will be your wedding planner, coordinator, and designer. I'm excited to be a part of the magic that brings a couple's dream wedding to life. I grew up watching tons of Randy and Monte and Four Weddings before I attended design school. I'm inspired by nature and creative storytelling. I'm a huge storybook fan and love to incorporate some of the epics, natural scenery, and artistry into the projects I take on.
I've always had a passion for creating spaces and great attention to detail, and of course, an obsession with Say Yes to the Dress - wedding planning, coordination, and design just made sense. I'm passionate about wedding planning, coordination, and design and it hits all the dopamine for me! I have ADHD so having a typical 9-5 was not going to work for me. I needed a space where I could work collaboratively with people who want to work with me to create a masterpiece. Being a part of someone's big day and being invited into a glimpse of their lives creates so many new ideas that there's always some new detail to come up with and fall back in love with it all.
I like to approach our meetings like it's a group of friends getting together to catch up. It's a little informal, but I still keep those professional boundaries. It's my job to create something that reflects you, it would be weird if I didn't get to know you personally. So let's talk about what we can do to enchant your wedding!

Yes! It is a must to feed your vendors! Each of our packages that include an onsite wedding coordinator have them their anywhere from 6-14 hours each day. It is imperative to include them in the count for the caterer, because your coordinator will be at the venue all day and will not leave the premises.
You should also take into account your photographer, videographer, DJ, and any other vendors and their assistants who will be present for the majority of the event. Those vendors who will only be present before or during the ceremony such as your bakers, officiants, or florists don't need to be included in the catering count.
A lot of times they get promoted or move on to another venue. While attending to a large amount of weddings and events at once, even having to manage multiple events on your wedding day, plus booking new events to meet their quota - your wedding and vision doesnt get the nuturing and close eye that it deserves. On top of all of this, they are only able to provide you with vendor recommendations, which are vendors that have been to that venue a bunch of times. Those vendors are not properly vetted to ensure that they are the perfect fit for you.
Everything from timelines to helping you 'say yes to the dress'! Book as needed or add on to create a custom package! Here's just some of the A La Carte services we provide:

That's a great question! While we're here to support you and provide a sweet and collective space you decompress a bit during the palnning and execution phases of your wedding, we are not providing any planning , design, or coordination services. We may give our positive opinion about how something fits on you, how it flows with your day, what ideas work well together - but we're not say picking out your wedding favors, bagging them, and dropping them.
Here's some of the thigns you can expect out of your Bridal Bestie:
- Attending vendor meetings, such as tastings, fittings, and decor selection, as a voice of reason and encouragement (damn, you look hot!)
- Bring you and members of your wedding party refreshments while you’re getting ready
- Steaming the wedding party's garments: your wedding dress, veil, bridesmaids dresses, groom and groomsmen clothing
- Prep and style bridal accessories for the photographer to shoot.
- Run last-minute errands - like picking up breakfast or lunch orders
- Helping the bride change into their wedding dress(es).
- Pack up belongings and tidy up the bridal suite.
- Distribute tips to other vendors.
We are always up for an adventure if you are planning a wedding out of state or a destination wedding! Travel fees would apply and be quoted accordingly. We're based in Morgantown, West Virginia and travel throughtout the state and the west and central regions of Pennsylvania! For weddings less than 40 miles away, there are no travel fees.
Coordinators do not set up tables and chairs or place table cloths (unless unforeseen circumstances present themselves). We will set up small personal items such as but not limited to escort cards, card box, welcome signage, small floral arrangements, and card box - as requested ahead of time for an additional fee.
While we do not sweep, mop, or remove the trash, or buss tables. We can assist you with hiring the proper team members if your venue does not offer these services.
We understand these thigns happen. Here is a snippet from our Terms and Conditions that covers our rescheduling policy:
"If the Client needs to change the date, time, or location of the wedding ceremony and reception prior notice must be given in advance of 90 days of their original scheduled date for the event. The Company shall work to accommodate the Client with a transfer of their services and payments to reflect the rescheduled date if they are available; this rescheduled date shall be within 18 months of the originally scheduled date. The Clients will then be sent a Rescheduling Request Form from the Company to complete and return before other proceedings can begin."
